Let’s unveil the innovations and brilliance that earned them this prestigious recognition!
FOR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY CATEGORY WINS ISIMAT GmbH Siebdruckmaschinen (Germany)
Jurors praised this bottle decoration concept as a “disruptive engineering innovation,” with its process capturing a seamless gradient of colors – spanning green, yellow, orange, pink, and blue – that are applied to a vessel at the same time as ISIMAT’s patented inLINE foiling and direct digital decoration.
This innovation allows for both digital printing and metallization to be executed in a single pass, for an effect that offers both a metallic brilliance and tactile depth, with one panel member saying the method takes “technology to the next level.” The process also employs UV curing to allow for faster drying, lower energy consumption, and reduced material usage, with jurors appreciating that it allows for “critically lower energy consumption.”
The process eliminates the need for additional machines or processes for decoration, while creating a customized, high-impact design. Jurors summed up the method as enabling “new visual possibilities and manufacturing capabilities.”
FOR MAKE-UP, SKIN CARE, HAIR CARE FORMULA CATEGORY WINS ITALCOSMETICI SRL (Italy)
The jury pronounced this foundation as “meeting the new trend of color that cares.” Its formula combines Ayurvedic serum ingredients with the benefits of a light-to-medium coverage foundation to soothe, brighten, and mattify the skin, and is intended for hot and humid climates. The foundation’s caring ingredients include turmeric to soothe inflammation and counteract oxidative stress; moringa to regulate sebum; niacinamide to refine pores; ammonium glycyrrhizate to lighten and calm irritation; neem to fight bacteria; corn starch to mattify skin; and a water-based film-former to hydrate and shield skin from environmental damage.
Jurors appreciated the product’s “amazing texture and finish” calling it “a great example of skinification in make-up.” The Ayurvedic elements are captured in botanicals such as Ganoderma lucidum, or reishi mushroom, turmeric, and moringa, which all support skin balance, protection, and regeneration. Niacinamide too aligns with the Ayurvedic ingredients by promoting skin barrier health. The foundation includes natural mineral pigments and a water-based acrylic film former that ensure high performance, with the formula 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and talc-free, and composed of 90% natural-origin ingredients. One panel member praised the formula as a “smart combination of science with nature,” as it marries the benefits of Ayurveda with technology.
FOR PACKAGING: DESIGN & MATERIALS CATEGORY WINS FR & Partners SA (Switzerland)
The fact that R-SUE, a plastic-free cork make-up container, is both “eco-friendly [and] aesthetically pleasing” won praise from the jurors. The container is crafted from over 97% eco-friendly cork through a thermoforming process. Composed of a base and top, the design also spotlights a refillable metal pan, which can be removed and replaced. The cork brings both ergonomic and grip benefits, while the case is customizable, and after use it can be repurposed as a container. One juror described it as “good sustainable packaging with [a] nice grip and functionality.” The brand also allows the inner metal pan’s crown frame to be customized through embossing or laser engraving.
The pan is easily re-inserted into the cork container by applying pressure, with the cork’s natural elasticity holding the pan in place. The material’s natural shock-absorbing properties also dissipate impact energy, reducing the risk of product breakage during transport. Just three components and two materials – the cork and the metal pan – make up the packaging. “We greatly appreciate the circular thinking behind [the design],” jurors noted, while calling it a “genuine eco product.”
