SkinChat is powered by custom-built vision Al and LLMs (GPT3.5, GPT4, HyperClovaX, etc). Over 200k+ skin photos have been used to build a skincare vision Al that can identify skin problems using only a mobile phone. LLMs and our specialised skincare database enable 24/7 personalised skincare consultation. Additionally, SkinChat uses a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) method. This helps to make SkinChat fast, trustworthy, specialised, up-to-date, and customisable.

What sets your product apart and why is it innovative?​
SkinChat is a Vision AI chatbot that integrates Vision AI with LLM (a very large language model) and dermatology DB (database). Unlike cosmetics companies and dermatology hardware companies, SkinChat's creator, ART Lab, has been an AI startup since its inception, so it has an excellent team that adopts and fuses new technologies and can quickly integrate LLM technologies such as GPT. Moreover, SkinChat combines three key technologies to create a unique AI beauty consultant: Vision AI, ChatBot AI, and Recommendation AI. Together, these three technologies provide a diagnosis of various skin concerns. Our vision AI model was custom-built and while we most frequently use GPT-3.5, we can also use GPT-4, HyperClovaX, or PaLM2 anytime. What makes SkinChat truly unique and difficult to replicate is that for three years, ARTLab has been collecting over 200K instances of time-series image data through the SkinLog app that records skin changes based on specific behavioural records of users. This data provides important information about changes in skin conditions. This data held by ARTLab is a large amount of medical data that is difficult to collect publicly and is being used to develop skin type classification and acne diagnosis AI models.

If SkinChat only had an LLM like ChatGPT, the answers provided would be inaccurate and wouldn't be able to detect individual skin problems. On the other hand, if it only relied on Vision AI, it would only provide a general checkup report without pointing out specific problems and solutions.
